The West Chester Area School District has the following APT Coordinator position available at the secondary level: (certification requirement – appropriate valid PA certification):

1.0 APT Coordinator - Henderson High School

The APT Coordinator/Counselor assists students, who are referred from the MTSS team, to reduce problems that impede learning and to guide them in making effective educational, occupational, and personal decisions. The Coordinator will collaborate with administrators, counselors, mental health specialists, teachers, MTSS staff, and parents. They will assist in promoting and maintaining positive relations with referral sources and community agencies in order to support students.

To successfully perform this position, a person must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The qualification requirements listed below represent minimum levels of educational achievement, training, skill and/or ability necessary.

• 
  Master’s Degree with valid PA certification
• Certification in subject field
• Proficiency in the use of technology for individual communication and research
• Proficiency in presentation of technology to enhance small and large student group information & demonstration sessions
• Possess effective interpersonal skills with the ability to interface diplomatically with other teachers, administrators, parents, students, support staff and outside professional contacts

• 
  Candidates who do not have their PA teaching certificate must have the College Verification of Eligibility Letter which states that you have successfully completed the program and are eligible for certification.

Salary: PER WCAEA CONTRACT
