SURESTAFF is immediately hiring Machine Operators for our steel production client in Crawfordsville, IN. The Machine Operator is responsible for operating automated and semi-automated production equipment to create and manufacture steel products.

Note: shifts are currently operating on a 2x2x3 schedule. (Ex: Mon & Tues - Work; Wed & Thurs - Off; Fri, Sat, Sun - Work; Flip days on & off the next week)

- 7a-7p ($17/hr)
- 7p-7a ($18/hr)
- Prepare machine for production
- Safely and effectively operates equipment to produce quality product
- Reads job specifications and previous run data (if available) to determine machine adjustments and material requirements. Ensures job is in order prior to machine set-up.
- Observes machine operation to detect piece defects or machine malfunction. Makes corrections to alleviate out of specification product.
- Position may entail standing for long periods of the day and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds during shift.
- Must be able to cut through bands of steel.
- Previous experience in production, manufacturing, assembling, and/or machine operating.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude is essential.
- Flexibility to work overtime and extra shifts as needed.
- Experience reading and interpreting production specifications a plus.
