2nd Shift Selector NEEDED ASAP!

JOB FUNCTION: Detail-oriented order selector will manage filling incoming customer orders and ensure they are correctly selected. Working Sunday – Thursday, 10 – 12 hours per shift until orders are completed and ready for delivery. Using a walking or rider jack with previous equipment experience is required. Average case weight is 30 lbs and we require an average of 600 cases per shift.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Reading customer orders accurately
• Locating and selecting the specific warehouse item to fulfill the customer’s order
• Operating forklifts and other warehouse machinery to stack items and prepare orders for shipping.
• Placing the prepared orders in the correct dock slips for loading onto shipping trucks
• Performing visual inspections of orders to ensure they are correct and ready for shipment.
• Labeling order shipments correctly for each identification.
• Applying shrink wrap to the prepared order before shipping.
• Following warehouse safety procedures for the operation of equipment, such as wearing proper clothing, safe food handling, and maintaining awareness of your surroundings and other workers when transporting items.
• Keeping the warehouse clean and organized at all times.
• Maintain regular attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

• Operation of a forklift and other assigned vehicle and equipment.
• Warehouse operations, procedures, equipment and terminology.
• Health and safety regulations.
