Job description

The Shift Supervisor is responsible for completing the following tasks as required, based on the priority and need as follows:

• Must embrace management’s values and expectations and be the visible and positive embodiment of management on the production floor
• Pay attention to inventory levels. Inform Departmental Supervisors of necessary inventory and non-inventory items if they seem low.
• Train and develop employees to ensure customer and company expectations are being met
• Resolve production, quality, and general issues on the production floor. Escalate issues to Department Supervisors and/or upper management if necessary
• Ensure and verify production is actively working and completing their required tasks as set and defined by Departmental Supervisors.
• Maintain quality by establishing and enforcing Rhenium Alloys Inc. quality standards, combined with those quality requirements of our customers
• Make sure all department paperwork is being filled out completely and accurately
• Ensure all company policies and procedures are being followed
• Will bring any employee issues to the Departmental Supervisors and/or Manufacturing Manager so they can be dealt with based on company policies
• Communicate with all employees regularly keeping them aware of both positive items and negative items that need to be improved. As well as work with Departmental Supervisors on giving annual reviews
• Troubleshoot issues within the process as they arise and make necessary adjustments.
• Assist and Aid in production as needed
• Ensure Departmental Supervisor and/or the Manufacturing Manager is aware of any maintenance requirements that need to be addresses
• Ensure and promote safety and cleanliness within your department
• Responsible for holding employees accountable and also for being sure those who deserve recognition receive it
• Ability to monitor, direct and document the training of new employees
• Monitor and reward progress of all employees in your production area
• Document and improve production yields
• Monitor technical operating equipment and trouble shoot and/or shut down when necessary (ex. Centore’s, etc.)

Qualifications

· 2 years of Supervisory experience and or a minimum 7 years of work experience

· Good communication skills

· Knowledge of Microsoft office programs (word, excel and outlook)

· Problem solving/Analysis

· Active listening

· Technical Capacity (Micrometer, ruler, calipers, machine set up and operations)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour
