Responsibilities:- Prepares patients for dental procedures.
- Travels with Dentist to nursing homes
- Assists Dentist during dental procedures in the nursing home
- Sterilizes or disinfects instruments, sets up instrument trays and prepares materials.
- Records treatment information in patient records.
- Provides postoperative instructions prescribed by dentist.
- Assists dentist in the management of medical or dental emergencies.
- Instruct patients in oral hygiene and plaque control programs.
- Clean and polish removable appliances.
- Make preliminary impressions for study casts and occlusal registrations for mounting study casts.
- Perform radiography for patients as required.
- Adheres to OSHA guidelines regarding patient care, disposal of materials, and sterilization of equipment on a daily basis.
- High school Diploma or equivalent
- One year Dental Assistant experience
- Valid Driver's Licence
- Registered Dental Assistant
