828 Tool/Fab Inspector Level 3, Orlando, FL (No Clearance)

DESCRIPTION
Fabrication Inspector performs in-process/courtesy/quality witness/final inspections on machined parts, electro-mechanical, mechanical, composite, integrated systems and various coatings including chemical conversion coating, military grade primer/paint, powder coat and anodize. Ascertains functionality in accordance with prescribed company & customer requirements and specifications which may be presented to the customer for certification and acceptance prior to shipment. Experience working and navigating on a computer to read/understand work instructions. Experience working in software to capture inspection planning and acceptance. Utilizes a variety of precision inspection instruments and gages. Inspects per drawing criteria including critical dimensions to extremely close tolerances (can be as small as millionths), fringes on the interferometer and utilization of optical flats for lens seat flatness. Upload/scan information for logbook completion. Requires Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) experience. Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees and management.

Shift is a 4/10 schedule (M-Th or T-Fri) during training. Will move to 2nd shift (4:00 pm - 2:30 am) after training in the Machining Operations Center (MOC).

Must have the ability to work overtime depending on Business unit needs.

MANDATORY

· Experience with Mechanical Quality Inspections

· Experience with engineering/blueprint drawings (reading/interpretation)

· Experience with precision measurement tools

· Experience with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerances (GD&T)

· Ability to work with minimal supervision

· Must have CMM Experience

DESIRED

· SAP experience

· Ability to perform manual measurements.

· Experience with aerospace hardware

· Familiar with military specifications.

Pay: $30.00 - $36.00 per hour
