PURPOSE:

The Account Service Representative (ASR) is a key member of the sales team responsible for the delivery of effective customer service to all designated customers. Responsibilities include delivering product information; assisting with order processing; tracking shipments; helping with returns; and assisting with internet questions/internet orders. The ASR also serves as a key conduit for customer feedback and information to the sales team.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Answer, track and forward incoming sales calls. May also take inbound customer service calls on an as needed basis.
  • Able to handle highly confidential customer information appropriately; shows judgment and uses discretion; responds well to pressure or deadline situations.
  • Works closely with account representatives or managers to place orders, identifies specialty item numbers, tracks shipments, authorizes returns according to established procedures, inputs Purchase Orders and promotes/assists with usage of web-based system for order transactions.
  • Recommends alternative products or services to exceed customer expectations and to promote add-on sales.
  • Arranges special handling of orders and deliveries as needed by working with internal departments including merchandising, uniform services and/or distribution to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Follows up with vendors regarding backorders, invoices, product information and pricing.
  • Participates in Fit Clinics for rollout of any new uniform programs.
  • Provides marketing materials and product information to customers.
  • Provides feedback to Account Rep regarding any service failures or other customer concerns.
  • Specific knowledge of customer ordering procedures. Must have extensive Galls product knowledge and be able to conduct product research as needed.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Proficient in Galls Intranet, Galls Website, internet, and Microsoft Windows (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint).

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • Specific knowledge of customer ordering procedures. Must have extensive Galls product knowledge and be able to conduct product research as needed.
  • Understands structure of government agencies and/or defense contractors. Prior experience with GSA preferred.
  • Must have strong organizational skills
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Proficient in Galls Intranet, Galls Website, internet, MACS, Goldmine, Oracle software applications and Microsoft Windows (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint).
