Salary: $53,335.67 Yr. - Paid Biweekly
General Description
Under the general supervision of the Chief Accountant, with latitude to carry out the functions of the position, is responsible for internal audit functions, cash control, debt service, insurance coverage, vehicles, operational accounting record keeping, accounting system software and completion of various reports for executive management, funding and regulatory agencies. Provides oversight to and supervises the operations of the accounts payable and receipts office clerical staff.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited four year college or university with major course work in accounting. Experience performing or supervising various accounting functions. Prefer a Master's Degree in Accounting or CPA. Two years' experience in governmental, healthcare accounting and/or auditing. Must have reliable transportation. May use personal vehicle to conduct business. Must have a valid driver's license at all times, liability insurance and a good driving record.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of finance administration, budget control and fiscal accounting.- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and procedures affecting the maintenance of accounting records and automated accounting systems.
- Knowledge of governmental accounting.
- Ability to interpret laws and regulations related to fiscal operations.
- Ability of network server-based applications/accounting software maintenance and administration.
- High level of skill in Microsoft Excel and other standard software.
- In the course of being employed, understands and implements trauma informed care practices.
