Job Summary
The Accounting Admin Assistant position is part of the Accounting Departments team and performs a variety of tasks that are specific to performing the daily work in the department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, the employee must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and in a timely manner. The following duties are representative of the job but are not all inclusive and other duties may be assigned as needed.
Duties
- Perform accounting and administrative tasks efficiently and accurately.
- Administrative work using Excel
- General administrative duties (file, copy)
- Handling expense reports
- Administrative duties including phones, scheduling, filing, scanning and assisting team on various projects
- Coordinate operations and provide administrative support in a high volume department
- Identify document discrepancies and resolve issues.
- General clerical duties as assigned
Requirements
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
- High degree of accuracy and a very strong attention to detail.
- Exceptional organizational skills and time management.
- Data entry skills along with a high degree of comfort working with numbers.
- Hands-on experience in creating spreadsheets within Excel.
- Effective and professional written and verbal communications skills.
ยท 2+ years previous work experience in a professional office environment
Working Conditions:
Works in a typical office environment. Employee must possess good manual dexterity; can sit, stand, kneel, and squat; be able to lift at least 10 lbs regularly and 25 lbs occasionally. Regular attendance is required to perform the job satisfactorily.
