JOB OVERVIEW:

The Accounting Clerk is responsible for providing direct assistance to the Director of Accounting.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist in and learn the basics of the day-to-day activities providing accounting support, which may include filing, data entry, scanning and copying.
  • Maintain company records in an organized manner by timely filing.
  • Maintain reconciliations of assigned accounts.
  • Assist with Accounts Payable.
  • Reconcile, analyze and prepare use tax reports.
  • Prepare and post journal entries.
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Background in accounting preferable.
  • Computer literate - must be proficient using Windows, and Excel.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to problem solve and with strong logic and reasoning.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate an work well as part of a team.
