Qualifications

• 5+ years in accounting experience with 2+ years in a leadership position, including demonstrated management experience leading an accounting team
• 
  Exceptionally strong communication skills, both written and verbal, demonstrable ability to influence others at all levels of an organization
• 
  Experience in a multi-project-based company, preferably in Whole Sales, Distribution, and 3PL business
• 
  Ability to work in fast paced collaborative environment and manage ambiguity and complexity
• 
  Ability to work efficiently under tight timelines and achieve results, while maintaining high quality
• 
  Detail-oriented
•

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the Controller, the Accounting Manager is responsible for all accounting and reporting functions
• 
  Manage the Accounting Team as well as partner to appropriately account for and drive day to day operations
• 
  Month End Close Process: responsible for running an accurate and timely close, including project review, journal preparation/ review, account reconciliations, variance analysis and reporting.
• 
  Oversees all general ledger, payroll, and fixed asset activities, ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions and compliance with internal policies.
• 
  Management of cash accounting, including bank administration
• 
  Document and ensure compliance with policies, internal controls, GAAP standards and statutory requirements
• 
  Ad-hoc requirements – supporting the business with any ad-hoc reporting or request. Such areas may include system implementation/enhancements, ad-hoc business analysis/ modelling, local tax reporting and compliance, acquisition and integration support and other special projects as assigned.
