We are we looking for....

We're looking for a highly-skilled and motivated finance professional who will assume the responsibility of managing & maintaining essential accounting operations.The ideal candidate is someone with a background in finance who is well-versed in building, improving, and maintainining instituational processes pertaining to the fiscal and operational success of an organization. In this role, we are looking someone who is very detail orientated and has experience managing large data sets to address financial processes like taxes, budgeting, reporting, and compliance.

As an Accounting & Tax Specialist at Acqueon you will….

• Perform period-end activities in accordance with the financial close schedules and the established guideline.
• Perform account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, balance sheet accounts, etc., and resolve the reconciling items in a timely manner.
• Record journal entries in NetSuite for the assigned entities in-line with the established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Provide support for internal and external financial audits.
• Review policies and procedures to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
• Prepare reports summarizing audit findings and recommendations for corrective action.
• Prepare tax provisions schedules, returns, payments, reports, and maintain a company's tax database.
• Ensure Acqueon complies with federal, state and local tax regulations.
• Advise management about the impact of tax liabilities and corporate strategies or new tax laws.
• Coordinate with external tax advisors.
• Keep up to date with tax changes and industry trends by participating in educational opportunities and professional organizations, keeping up with professional networks, and reading professional publications.
• Act as Finance SPOC for all employees located in US and Canada.

As an Accounting & Tax Specialist Acqueon you will need….

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Accounting & Tax.
• CPA or equivalent certification.
• Sophisticated accounting and taxation knowledge.
• Familiarity with Netsuite or similiar tools.
• 4-6 years of experience in a relevant roles like accounting and US taxation.
• Ability to perform all role responsibilities in fluent written and spoken English.
• Ability to manage deadlines.
• Solid understanding of US GAAP, IFRS, and general accounting principles.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
