Position Summary
The purpose of this position is to analyze information out of the billing and payroll department, providing recommendations for process improvement. This would include process documentation and technology integration recommendations to drive efficiencies within the billing and payroll department. Additional duties include; posting wages, deductions, and validating weekly billing statements against driver settlement sheets prior to processing weekly driver payroll as needed.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Review and access current billing and payroll processes
  • Learn, apply, recommend and communicate policies, procedures, and regulations relevant to the billing and payroll department
  • Recommend workflow improvements incorporating technology based efficiencies to improve billing and payroll functions integrating across all departments
  • Duties to include and as needed, to be used as a way of accessing process improvements through the use of accounting technologies to integrate with other systems throughout the company and other departments
    • Process billing invoices, as needed
    • Process driver pay files, statements of earnings and deductions daily, as needed
    • Compute wages and deductions, and enter data into computers, as needed
    • Review billing sheets, wage computation, and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies
    • Compile employee time, production, and payroll data from time sheets and other records, as needed
    • Process paperwork for new employees and enter employee information into the payroll system
    • Verify attendance, hours worked, pay adjustments and post information onto designated records
    • Issue and record adjustments to pay related to previous errors or retroactive increases

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or other business related field
  • Applied Technology background preferably in accounting
  • Must have experience implementing accounting process upgrades
  • 1-3 years of accounting experience
  • 1-3 years experience using various accounting technology components
