POSITION TITLE: Accounts Payable Clerk
DEPARTMENT: Finance
REPORTS TO: Controller
JOB PURPOSE: To improve the health and wellbeing of our communities.
BASIC FUNCTION: The Accounts Payable Clerk serves as a member of the Finance Department at Grand River Hospital District. Processes check requests and expense reports on a regular basis. Accurately review, code, and process vendor invoices. Performs monthly reconciliations. Maintains a large number of vendor accounts while staying in compliance with company policies and procedures. Performs data entry associated with accounts payable. Reviews and reconciles invoice discrepancies. Addresses and responds to vendor inquiries. Handles payments in an organized and timely manner. Develops and maintains Excel spreadsheets. Performs internal credit card reconciliation when required, audits, and processes credit card bills. Ensures credit is received for outstanding memos. Assists with audit support as necessary. Streamlines the accounts payable process. Ensures compliance with the Great Colorado Payback. Processes annual 1099s in compliance with federal and state regulations. Inputs and tracks approved capital expenditures. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing professional networks; and participating in professional organizations. Performs a variety of tasks and other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business-related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Experience: 0 - 2 years of working experience in a similar role preferred. Working experience in a hospital setting in a similar role preferred.
SALARY INFORMATION :
$18.67- $23.03 Dependent on Experience
Shift differentials may apply for eligible positions.
