Brandywine Living, a premier provider of quality senior living, is currently seeking a Full-Time Activities Assistant (Escapades Expert) to join our Brandywine Living at The Sycamore team in beautiful Shrewsbury, NJ.

** Available Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday (10:00a.m. to 6:00p.m.) **

Essential Duties:

• Assists Arts & Entertainment Director in implementing, planning and scheduling activities and innovative programs.
• Oversees activities program for the Reflections neighborhood under the director of the Arts & Entertainment Director.
• Facilitates socialization amount the residents by inviting/encouraging residents to participate in planned activities.
• Conducts/leads activities as well as train, support and instruct other staff members in conducting activities.
• Assists with transportation for activity outings and regularly scheduled group trips.
• Accepts on-call responsibilities as assigned by your supervisor.
• Carries out duties as assigned by your supervisor to ensure smooth operation of the program and to meet residents' needs.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required.
• Recreation therapist certification preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Previous experience in activity planning with older adults.
• Must have genuine interest in working with older adults.

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Shrewsbury, NJ 07702: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• activity planning: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Recreation Therapist Certification (Preferred)
• Driver's License (Required)
