Job description

Position: Administrative Assistant

  • Answering the main phone line and roll-over lines
  • Receiving, sending and distributing mail and packages
  • Performing minor accounting and data entry items such as: entering/updating contact information in our corporate database, entering staff payroll hours, misc. invoice coding, maintaining misc. spreadsheets, ordering supplies, etc.
  • Responsible for helping to manage schedules in Outlook and support project functions and events
  • Often being the first face and voice of Whiting-Turner to many new customers, visitors and business associates
  • Provide overall support to our construction executives and staff

Job requirement:

  • 1 year minimum experience required
  • Pleasant and outgoing personality
  • Ability to work in and adapt to a dynamic environment
  • Ability to work as part of a team, but can also work independently
  • Willingness and desire to take on new and ever-increasing tasks
  • Desire to be part of a proud team of professionals
  • Reliable, punctual, self-starter / motivator
  • Strong attention to details and self-checking
  • Well-organized
  • Intermediate computer skills in programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and some proprietary software.
  • Ability and desire to learn new skills
