*Job Title: Administrative Assistant* Reports To: Executive Director Date: October 2022 Position Summary: This position is responsible to the Executive Director for the direction, coordination and overall management of the JSCC office functions. The Administrative Assistant must perform day-to-day clerical functions; perform a variety of complex, responsible and confidential administrative duties requiring a thorough knowledge of JSCC procedures. Provides assistance to designated events and performs related work as required. This position requires the ability to work independently, exercising judgment and initiative. This position requires a person with very flexible hours. Responsibilities: * Work 20-30 hours per week between office and Chamber events when needed. Employees are to be on time and ready to work at the time their shift begins. * Receive calls and emails- give information to contacts, screens and routes calls to appropriate destinations. * Understanding each call to the office is a potential member and relays the benefits of membership. * Greets visitors, board and others in a professional and courteous manner. Ascertains the nature of business and refers to appropriate person. * Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, Constant Contact, Outlook, Social Media (Facebook, Linked in, Instagram) and PC skilled. * Types reports, business correspondence, memo, event schedules, meeting supplies prepared for each event, maintains chamber files. * Maintains databases and files on members, projects, meetings, notices, emails, etc., when directed. * Orders supplies, keeps inventory, maintains and organizes supply closet. * Assist with Chamber activities * Maintain and update membership directory. * New member packets maintained, mailed and followed up for resource materials. * Prepare office volunteer assignments and assist with recruitment of volunteers and their orientation. * Refer member business and follow with a post card stating referral. * Prepare and mail dues and event invoices/billings. * Prepare mew membership files and plaques for distribution at board meetings. * Compile and keep updated and stocked information on: relocation information, demographics, lodging, restaurants, etc., as well as emergency contacts. * Assist in any functions that will enhance the Chamber and its membership. * Operates office machines and maintains a neat & clean office environment.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
