General Job Description
This is a highly responsible position providing critical support functions to the Leadership Team and exempt staff. The position may handle confidential information for the Leadership team. This position also serves as the primary coordinator for all major union events, supports all leadership team activities and programs, and provides backup to the executive assistant as requested.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Serves as Convention committee liaison to help plan and execute PSE’s other major events such as Legislative Conference and Leadership Academy.
- Assigned to support one or more state committees.
- Responsible for completing state campaign finance disclosure reports.
- May provide staff support to Legislative Council.
- Works closely with all administrative staff on special projects.
- May perform some responsible accounting functions.
- Identifies problems and recommends solutions to the leadership team to ensure that the most efficient and effective operation occurs and highest level of quality service is provided.
- Performs other duties as required and directed.
Requirements of Position
- Associate degree or equivalent. BA degree preferred. Equivalent administrative experience taken into consideration.
- Ability to plan, coordinate and manage large-scale meetings, trainings and events.
- High level of attention to detail, competency in MS Office suite, database platforms, and SharePoint.
- Demonstrated ability to organize schedules, prioritize work, manage time effectively, work with speed and top accuracy and follow through to ensure commitments are met.
- Ability to work well under pressure with friendly, service-oriented attitude and demeanor toward members, officers and fellow employees.
- Ability to work highly effectively with people as a member of a team.
- Possession of valid Washington operator’s license and willingness to use personal vehicle in course of employment.
- Ability to work occasional overtime and weekend hours, and to occasionally travel to conduct PSE business.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $69,913.00 - $81,672.00 per year
