Waste Connections currently has an opening for an experienced Receptionist/Front Desk Office Administrator to join our Southern Region Office located in The Woodlands, TX. The Receptionist fields calls from customers and other inbound calls using a multi-phone line system, deals with walk-in traffic as well as supports multiple lines of business.
Seeking a highly organized and disciplined individual who pleasantly works to resolve customer issues, is tech savvy and adaptable to assist customers and internal stakeholders as needed.
Must be flexible to work on projects and assignments as they arise.
Event planning experience is essential, as is prior experience arranging complicated travel logistics.
A successful candidate must understand the Waste Connections business model such that they can resolve customer issues that rise to the Region office. This is a Monday thru Friday position working 8AM – 5PM. There will be occasional travel and overtime.
Responsibilities:
- Answer in-coming phone calls from employees, customers and vendors
- Provide friendly and efficient service to customers by answering questions and handling elevated customer concerns
- Process incoming and returned mail as well as any customer correspondence
- Provide clerical support for the office manager along with other lines of business as needed
- Event planning, assist with meetings, as well as provide travel arrangements for region employees
- Maintain office calendar, expense reports, ordering of office supplies, and print requests.
- Accounts Payable
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills:
- Minimum 2 years experience in a front desk / receptionist role
- Professional phone etiquette
- Advanced knowledge of MS suite and able to pick up new software quickly
- Strong typing skills; including 10-key
- Able to multi-task and handle stressful situations
- Must be self-efficient and able to prioritize and manage tasks accordingly
- On the job experience with duties listed above
- Must have High School Diploma but college degree preferred
