The Engineering in Society Program at the USC Viterbi School is an academic program of instruction and research that addresses the humanistic aspects of a holistic engineering education along with the development of character. Combined with the superb technical education they will receive, the EiS program helps to ensure that Viterbi engineering graduates are imbued with two key elements of trustworthiness: competence and character.
The program’s mission is to distinguish a Viterbi engineering education by purposefully connecting a student’s technical work with its societal impact. These efforts span the four years of an undergraduate education and are anchored in courses available to all students, in extracurricular opportunities, and in modules embedded in technical courses. The program focuses on communication skills, ethics, and engineering education for undergraduates and graduates through teaching and research.
The EiS Program seeks to recruit an Administrative Assistant II in support of this mission. EiS seeks an agile, adaptable, and collegial colleague that will thrive in a fast-paced and fast-evolving department.
The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Serving as a contact for all EiS general inquiries. Serving as a resource to others on department and university procedures
- Coordinating meetings, scheduling appointments, and maintaining calendars.
- Organizing and maintaining filing systems and databases for the EiS program.
- Coordinating all EiS events and meetings, including but not limited to conferences, seminars, luncheons, etc.
- Managing financial processes such as purchases, reimbursements, POs, etc.
Other duties may be assigned.

The hourly rate range for this position is $25.48 - $28.39.
