Position Title: Administrator, Jackson County Regional Health Center

Department: Admin.Outreach-JCRHC

Purpose: Provides leadership, direction, and administration to all aspects of Jackson County Regional Health Center (JCRHC). Assures alignment of physician practices to ensure compliance with the established objectives of the hospital, Genesis Health System and the JCRHC Board of Directors. Maintains a work environment conducive to maximizing the performance of employees and services throughout the organization. Additionally, is responsible for representing JCRHC and Genesis Health System to the community and ensuring the organizations' mission is accomplished.

Report To: Chief Clinical Officer/Chief Medical Officer and JCRHC Board of Directors

Supervisory Responsibility: Divisional/Multi-Level: The job requires direct responsibility for the management of multiple departments with large numbers of staff assigned to each. The incumbent directly and indirectly supervises multiple directors, managers, assistant managers, and/or supervisors who in turn manage and supervise their areas of responsibility. Incumbent has multiple shift responsibility for staff.

Materials Responsibility: Very High: Work requires an extremely high degree of responsibility for materials resources. Examples of resources could include the operating and capital budget for the entire organization. The employee has extensive authority and control over these resources. The difficulty, variety and depth of problems associated with these material resources is extremely complex.

Key Relationship: Co-workers/Health System Employees, Outside Agencies/Other Health Care Providers, Governing Boards, General Public/Visitors/Volunteers, Physicians/Medical Office Staff, Students/Interns/Residents/Outside Instructors, Patients, Families, and Significant Others, Vendors/Clients, Auditors/Review Agencies, Local Governments, News Media, Attorneys

POSITION SPECIFICATION

Education: Master's Degree

Field Of Study: Health Care Administration, Business

Special Training:
Training Preferred: American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE)

Licensure/Registration:
Experience: More than 5 years experience required.

Interpersonal Skills: Interaction is with a wide variety of people inside or outside the organization. Communications are often extremely difficult or stressful in nature. Contact with others involves highly complex and sensitive topics. The job requires extremely well developed interpersonal skills for dealing with a range of complicated problem situations. The job requires the use of diverse communication techniques.

Working Conditions: There are little or no adverse environmental conditions to consider.
