Job Summary
The Literacy Council of Sarasota (‘LCS’), a 501 (c) (3) charitable organization located in Sarasota, Florida is seeking experienced dynamic small group instructors to teach English as a Second Language (ESL) to adult learners on site at employer place of business. This is an independent contractor position.
Training will be provided in use of curriculum.
One class is for a local employer and is once a week for one hour on site at the business.
the other class is 90 minutes, twice per week.
No phone calls please.
Job Type: Independent Contracted Instructor
Responsibilities and Duties
- Lesson planning
- Teach English as a Second language to adults in multi level beginner, intermediate, or advanced English classes in person.
- Track attendance
- Provide written report of summary of class at end of contract
- Ability to manage adult students in a learning environment
Qualifications and Skills
- Previous experience teaching adult ESL learners is required.
