Summary: Implement afterschool programs with groups of youth under the direction of the Site Coordinator to help improve academic, social & life skills of local youth!

  • Locations available: Parkside School (4th-8th grade) Wautoma, Riverview Elementary (K-3rd) Wautoma and Redgranite Elementary (K-5th) in Redgranite.
  • 17.5 hours per week
  • 2:00-5:30pm Monday - Friday following the school year calendar
  • August - May each year
  • Additional hours available in June (Summer Camp), March (Spring Break), ongoing (professional development, family events, field trips)

Responsibilities:

  • Design enrichment curriculum/utilize site curriculum to lead engaging clubs.
  • Assist youth with homework and provide academic enrichment activities
  • Record & report data (attendance, behavior, successes)
  • Assist with program planning, preparation and supervision of program activities and events.
  • Participate in Professional Development & assist with continuous program improvement.
  • Utilize positive behavior management techniques & ensure the health & safety of youth.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred)
  • Experience working with school-age youth
  • Must enjoy working with youth at various stages of development.
  • High oral & written communication skills, able to read & comprehend written materials used by the students.
  • Commitment to high standards & ethics.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Satisfactory background report
  • Valid Wisconsin Drivers License.
