The Role
The Agency Lending Trader role is responsible for encouraging and supporting further growth of Fidelity’s Agent Lending business with a focus on lending to Street-Side counterparties and improving revenue for our clients.
Lending U.S. Equities to dealers with a focus on utilization and improving the lending value
Developing and maintaining relationships with borrowers to optimize allocations and spreads
Liaising with middle-office and back-office operations with respect to the execution and settlement of transactions
Partnering with the Security Finance Product Team to build systematic & automated tools based on the models you develop
Continually reviewing current processes/procedures & seeking creative alternatives to enhance efficiency and add new value
Identifying special opportunities to clients, explaining risks and rewards and running execution with the trading desk
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
Series 7 & 63 licenses required
Minimum of 5 years of experience trading or lending Equity Securities
Extensive experience with Securities Lending and operational workflows (collateral management, trade lifecycle, income processing, etc.)
Proficiency in Bloomberg and Excel modeling and macro development
You are a great teammate with excellent interpersonal skills
You have an ambitious nature with an entrepreneurial disposition
You deliver extensive knowledge of the role of securities finance in capital markets
Your ability to provide outstanding customer service & relationship management sets you apart
You share your strong understanding of the Equities trading market
The Team
The Agency Lending Trader will be an integral part of our client facing team. The team is part of the Securities Finance Division within Fidelity Capital Markets. Our mission is to provide our clients with outstanding client service and help with alpha generation by maximizing the value of the securities in their portfolios while minimizing operational and credit risk.
