• ALLENTOWN NJ - 12 HOURS A WEEK
• LAWRENCVILLE NJ - WEEKENDS 9-3PM
• HIGHTSTOWN NJ - 4 HOURS A WEEK

Friendly Connections is seeking someone to fill the role of Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work alongside those with disabilities to help build relationships and develop skills to live and work as valued members of their community.

The DSP is responsible for providing hands on support for individuals with disabilities living at home with family members, on their own, with roommates, or with others without disabilities. The DSP will be responsible for working one-on-one with the individuals to achieve or maintain increased independence, productivity, and inclusion in their homes and in the community.

Support may also include but is not limited to:

• Assist with community based activities
• Assist the client with preparing meals and feeding themselves
• Provide light housekeeping and laundry services
• Assist the client with personal hygiene and hair care
• Assist the client with dressing and undressing in appropriate clothing as needed
• Transport client to activities as previously arranged
• Accompanying and enabling an individual to attend events
