Job Summary

We are backfilling this position within the UGE finance organization that will be focused on supporting the continued growth plan for UGE by supporting regional line operations and their end-to-end financial planning as well as supporting and maintaining pricing and analysis models for operational support groups. This position will support the reporting and execution of forecast, month end close, annual planning cycle, and ad hoc items UGE operations and will assist with capital projects and support for business development items. . Excellent problem solving and communication skills will be required as projects touch multiple departments within UGE, our parent company United Airlines, and across numerous external partners and vendors.

Major Responsibilities/Activities

Prepare, consolidate, and report monthly forecast updates
Prepare, consolidate, and report monthly close results
Prepare and support the annual budget process for operational and operational support cost centers
Work with resource planning team to establish authorized headcount targets and support operations in achieving headcount goals
Development of financial models and work closely with the UGE business development group on bids for the continued growth of UGE
Establish financial goals for each cost center supported and communicate the progress operations both meeting and missing expectations
Process improvement and development of finance communication and training tools
Reporting to internal and external parties on UGE financial performance
P&L consolidation and variance research
Ad Hoc Projects and one-off scenario analysis
Additional analysis as needed supporting UGE operational financial analytics

Qualifications and Competencies

Bachelors’ in Finance, Accounting, Economics (or related degree) or equivalent experience in a financial analysis role
Minimum 1 years of analytical work experience demonstrating increasing responsibility
Minimum of 1 year Hyperion Planning and Oracle Financial Systems Experience
Strong business acumen
Knowledge of accounting and financial statements
Passion for data, analysis, and providing solutions to complex problems
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent analytical, planning problem solving, and consensus building skills
Can manage multiple projects, priorities, and deliverables against deadlines
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Process creation and automation using smart tools, software, ai
Prior airline planning and development experience
