- Animal Care at Rutledge-Wilson Farm Park: Caring for livestock, preparing diets, feeding, cleaning stalls, barns, and other animal living quarters. Assist in livestock breeding programs, as needed. Assist Livestock Herdsman and Coordinator in monitoring health, participating in preventative health measures, and reporting health concerns. Constructing and repairing livestock facilities, as needed. Assisting with set-up and teardown of rentals and special events.
- Equine Care at the Valley Water Mill Equestrian Center: Caring for equine herd, preparing diets, feeding, cleaning stalls and barns. Assist Coordinators in monitoring health, participating in preventative health measures, and reporting health concerns. Constructing and repairing livestock facilities, as needed. Assisting with set-up and teardown of rentals and special events.
- Riding Instructor: Provide safe and high quality instruction for equine activities, mounted and unmounted, to participants of all ages (3yo and above) and assist with other facility or daily equine maintenance duties as assigned. This includes conducting participant assessments, developing lesson plans, providing lessons, equine suitability, health assessments and/or care. A primary function is to create a nurturing, positive and professional environment while ensuring that all staff, volunteers, guests and participants follows strict safety protocols and receives the highest caliber of service.
Qualifications and Requirements
Experience, Education, and Training
- Entry level position;
PREFERRED
- Experience in animal care.
Licensing/Certification
- If operating a motor vehicle for the purpose of completing job duties, must possess a valid Missouri Motor Vehicle Operator's License.
