Job description
We are looking for PART-TIME & FULL-TIME Retail Sales Representatives to provide excellent customer service and meet sales quotas for our upcoming Dyersville, IA location. Training may take place in our Oelwein and/or Independence, IA locations. Candidates with strong communication skills who can make customers feel welcome in our store will stand out. You will help identify client needs, present and answer questions about our products and services and recommend solutions. A positive attitude and a desire to promptly resolve potential customer issues or complaints will make you successful in this role. Ultimately, you will ensure that customers leave our store satisfied and you will contribute to the store’s profitability.
Role:
The Appliance sales associate is responsible for driving strong customer advocacy while performing in a customer service and retail environment. They will meet and exceed sales targets and goals provided to them from Appliance Plus. They will demonstrate a strong knowledge of General Electrics full portfolio of products and services as well as the products that Appliance Plus also provides for retail sales.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Greets customers in a professional and timely manner in store and over the phone.
- Hits and exceeds sales targets and goals for products and services provided by Appliance Plus.
- Performs store operations like opening and closing procedures, register reconciliation and nightly deposits.
- Troubleshooting equipment issues and consults on service issues with products.
- Works with third party services such as appliance financing (Brandsource and SNAP!).
- Assists with store inventory as needed.
- Maintains appearance of workspace, retail space and general workspace to the standard expected by Appliance Plus.
- Complies with company policies and procedures.
- Attends and completes all required training and programs by General Electric.
- Tasks given to help at the Warehouse
- Completes all other tasks or responsibilities as assigned by the store leader.
Skills
- Proven work experience as a Retail Sales Representative, Sales Associate or similar role
- Understanding of the retail sales process
- Familiarity with consumer behavior principles
- Knowledge of inventory stocking procedures preferred
- Basic math skills
- Track record of achieving sales quotas
- Excellent communication skills, capable of building trusting relationships
- Ability to perform in fast-paced environments
- Flexibility to work various shifts
- Requires some heavy lifting
