APPLICATIONS ENGINEER

Solon, OH | Full-Time | M-F 8:00 - 5:00
This is an in-office position with occasional remote work.

We are currently seeking an Applications Engineer to help develop and test machine vision systems for advanced inspection applications. Our ideal candidate is creative, imaginative, willing to invent, and has a high curiosity level.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with Engineering and Marketing teams to integrate advanced inspection technologies into our products
• Test and document findings for unusual or difficult customer samples using machine vision and sensing equipment
• Serve as customer liaison for prototype evaluation
• Conduct demonstrations for customers onsite and at trade shows
• Occasional travel customer locations for system demonstrations and prototype testing

Qualifications/Skills:

• Degree in Physics, Engineering or equivalent machine vision experience
• Basic knowledge of lighting and optics design and concepts
• Mechanical aptitude related to material handling systems
• Technical writing and interpersonal communication skills
• Willingness to occasionally travel domestically and internationally

Desirable Skills/Experience:

• Working knowledge of Zemax and/or MATLAB

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
