We’re offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced, talented architect to join our team. At Widseth, you will have the opportunity to grow our healthcare segment, collaborate with talented professionals, and be an integral part of project teams that create innovative solutions. This position will oversee the balance between design and technical solutions to achieve project deliverables that delight the client.
- Develop and expand our healthcare sector.
- Lead the design process.
- Personally interact with clients.
- Provide technical design input. Be responsible for project technical design efforts, subsequent detailed design development, project coordination and quality control efforts during all phases of project work.
- Perform quality control for client satisfaction and prepare reports and specifications. Review completed reports, plans, cost estimates, and calculations to ensure project delivers on-time and within budget.
- Collaborate and coordinate with the work of others and ensure project deliverables are coordinated, integrated, and that they support the project’s design concepts and performance goals.
- Build and foster a good relationship with the client to drive client satisfaction and future business opportunities.
- Maintain contact with clients, consultants, and contractors during all project phases, including presentations to clients and owners.
- Direct, lead, and mentor project staff to ensure professional development and chargeability.
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture; master’s degree preferred.
- Architectural licensure required. Minnesota preferred.
- LEED accreditation preferred, specifically LEED AP BC+C.
- 10+ years of experience on small- to large-scale healthcare project types ranging from clinic to hospital settings.
- Healthcare development experience.
- Project management experience.
- Advanced understanding of building codes.
- Knowledge of Revit, Bluebeam, Newforma, and other industry accepted software, as well as expertise with project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- A passion for integrating client sustainability goals into projects.
