You may be a fit for PCL’s Area Relief. In this position, you get to take the unique gifts, preferences, and needs of each person you support as a guide to how to walk in partnership with the person toward a life of opportunity, well-being, freedom, and contribution. You will be a role model, mentor, and ambassador to the team members you work with and people you support. You get to support people lead self-directed lives while they participate in their communities.

Generally, you will be scheduled to fulfill these hours in the area you are assigned. There may be situations where you are needed outside of your home area. In this position, you would need to be able to cover a variety of shifts. While you would receive your schedule at least two weeks in advance, you may be covering a Live In Position one week, and then an Awake Overnight the next. It is required in this shift to work weekends and days off during the week. You will be on-call for generally one (1) workweek every five (5) weeks. You will be expected to work up to approximately 20 hours of overtime during your on-call week as needed.

Compensation & Benefits Package:

Wage will be $21.50/hr

Education/Experience Requirements/Preferences:

Must have a minimum of 6 months of direct care experience

Job Specific Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Be able to regularly lift a minimum of 50 lbs
• Be able to be certified with an Individual Focus certificate in Oregon Intervention System (OIS)
• Be able to be certified and maintain certification with First Aid/CPR
• Pass a State/Federal criminal history check
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen for the use of illegal substances in Oregon
• Be fully vaccinated (or willing to become fully vaccinated while completing Orientation) against COVID-19 (subject to limited exemptions based on medical conditions, sincerely held religious beliefs, and/or applicable state laws and regulations)
