American Leadership Academy is now accepting applications for an Art Teacher (7-12) for the 2023-2024 school year located at our new Glendale/Surprise/Waddell campus, West Foothills JH/HS. Candidates must possess a valid Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card.

The Art Teacher position requires Content Knowledge proficiency from one of the following areas:

• Teaching certificate with Art Endorsement
• 24 college credit hours in Art
• Advanced degree in area
• AEPA or NES Subject Knowledge exam
• HQ Teacher Reciprocity
• National Board Certified in area

Job expectations include:

• Daily classroom instruction as aligned to approved lesson plans.
• Ensure that all school and district policies and procedures are adhered to.
• Ensure a sustainable relationship with parents, school personnel, and members of the public.
• Submit grades and attendance according to the procedures of the school.
• Prepare classroom for instructions prior to the start of the school year.
