Community Management Corporation, an Associa Company is looking for an Assistant Community Manager to join the Select Community Services division.
Select Community Services, (SCS) specializes in small community associations/properties management. And for the last two decades has serviced the greater Virginia, Maryland, and DC areas. Our local team members lead the industry in professional certifications and designations and have helped hundreds of local associations achieve their vision.
This position is an entry level Assistant Community Manager role.
The Assistant Community Manager is responsible for providing administration support to the assigned community association(s)/properties. Supporting the Community Manager, internal and external customers including homeowners, vendors, board members, and committee members.
This position is based out of our Chantilly, VA corporate office. However, travel to community properties is required as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities (may include but not limited to):
- Act as a communication liaison between the Association Board of Directors and homeowners as needed.
- Assist with the administration and management of the Association in accordance with management agreement and the Association's policies and procedures.
- Responsible for database maintenance, including updating resident information
- Prepare documents for and attend Board meetings per the management agreement
- Assist in review of monthly financial reports
- Support the monitoring of client delinquency and collections
- Assist in maintaining the unit and contract files of Association operations
- Assist portfolio managers with routine and special projects
- Attend community events as needed.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of customer service experience/admin assistant highly preferred
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, strong time management skills
- A good communicator, with the ability to build strong professional relationships
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Positive, enthusiastic, and able to adapt to fast-changing situations
- Self-motivated, proactive, detail oriented and a team player
- Experience and confidence using MS Office, software systems, and other basic IT equipment
- High School diploma or equivalent required
