Job Summary (2-3 sentences describing job purpose Provides direct service to students in grades Pre-K through 4th grade. Assists in the development and implementation of instruction.
Monitors and facilitates students in accordance with law and regulations.

Primary Job Duties/Responsibilities: List, in the order of importance or time spent, the essential duties/tasks performed by the position. This is not an exhaustive list and employees may be assigned additional duties by management as required.

Job Duty/Resp. 1: Supervises students in before and after school programs.

Job Duty/Resp. 2: Supports instructional implementation under the guidance of Site Supervisor.

Job Duty/Resp. 3: Tutors students individually and in small groups. Assists students to master standards and objectives and reinforces learning objectives. Provides additional assistance to students with exceptional needs, including but not limited to,
English Language Learners and those with physical and learning disabilities.

Job Duty/Resp. 4: Enforces policies and procedures set forth by Metro Nashville Public Schools, state and federal grants, Department of Children Services, and the Department of Human Services.

Job Duty/Resp. 5: Participates in trainings and meetings meeting minimum requirements for early childhood education.

Job Duty/Resp. 6: Monitors and facilitates safety of students and safety procedures.

Job Duty/Resp. 7: Prepares lesson materials, bulletin boards, equipment, and other signage.
Organizes activities that support the whole child through academic learning, arts, health and wellness, and social and emotional learning.

Job Duty/Resp. 8: Researches, identifies, and models best practices in instructional and grant funded program practices.

Education and Experience Requirements

Education (training/degree) : Required minimum: High School or equivalent Preferred: Not Applicable

Experience Requirements: Prior early childhood experience

Licenses, Certifications or Registrations Required: Not Applicable

Skills Required: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Professionalism skills. Prior early childhood experience preferred. Knowledge of Dept. Human Services regulations and guidelines for early childhood education.
