The Dorset Equine Rescue is hiring (Located in East Dorset, VT)! We are growing again and are looking for an Assistant Barn Manager to join our team! We are looking for a very reliable, organized and self motivated individual with extensive horse experience. We often have challenging horses and horses who require specific nutritional and medical care. Must have experience blanketing, giving oral medications, and taking a horses temperature, wound care/wrapping legs, have an eye for lameness and colic, and have basic first aide skills. Must have experience trailering horses. Other tasks include (but are not limited to), general barn chores, feeding, stall/paddock mucking, stacking hay, and keeping the overall appearance of the farm clean and neat. Must be willing to work at least 1/2 day one weekend day per week. Will have two set/consistant days off per week. Must be able to work a minimum of 30 hours per week and more during busy times.
