Love movies? The Mariemont Theatre is currently hiring for a variety of positions including Assistant Managers.
Assistant Manager position at the Mariemont Theatre helps organize and run theatre location and assist theatre’s General Manager when needed. The Assistant Manager position is key in meeting our efficiency goals and patron satisfaction.
Assistant Manager responsibilities include training employees, facilitating daily sales paperwork, monitoring inventory and ordering merchandise based on demand.
Our ideal candidate will have customer service skills with a sharp solution driven mentality. You should be skilled at organizing and solving problems. Interpersonal and mediation skills will also be very useful, since you’ll often be acting as a liaison between employees and customers.
Ultimately, the duties of the Assistant Manager are to make sure our theatre operates effectively, and that we keep our customers happy.
Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and implementing strategies to attract patrons
- Coordinate daily customer service operations (e.g. sales processes, orders and payments)
- Monitor and maintain inventory
- Evaluate employee performance and identify training needs
- Supervise and motivate staff to perform their best
- Coach and support new employees
- Communicate with patrons and evaluate their needs
- Handle complaints from customers
- Make sure all employees adhere to company’s policies and guidelines
- Act as our theatre’s representative and set an example for our staff
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Assistant Manager or similar position
- Familiarity with financial and customer service principles
- Good math skills
- Proficient user of MS Office (MS Excel in particular)
- Leadership and organizational abilities
- Interpersonal and communication skills
- Problem-solving attitude
- Flexibility to work in shifts
