Job description
The Assistant Manager will work with the Business Manager to organize, plan, and implement strategy, coordinate location operations, and ensure location schedules and objectives are met by employees.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Assist management with the hiring and training process.
- Coordinates and oversees the day-to-day workflow of location staff.
- Conducts or assists with goal setting and performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Assists the Manager with employment actions, including discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Build relationships that encourage support and guidance with location staff; creates bridge to upper management.
- Monitors departmental performance, identifying and facilitating opportunities to increase productivity and efficiency; assist in achieving 20% or higher sales closing.
- Manages daily aspects of the location and its staff to ensure projects are complete, and goals and customer needs are met.
- Coach and trains staff on sales process.
- Drafts, submits, and presents various performance and management reports to upper management.
- Ensures regular updates of daily communication board.
- Manages inventory, ensuring accuracy of in clinic inventory count and assist in purchases as needed.
- Manages conflicts and resolves customer service complaints.
- Understands, believes in, and upholds Massage Envy’s Purpose, Vision, and Values.
- General knowledge of modalities offered.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by Manager.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to create and present ideas, reports, and budgets in various formats.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to assign and delegate tasks.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
