Assistant Supervisor of Special Programs Birth-21
Position Objective:
Assist the Director of Special Education and Associate Director of Early Childhood in supervision, coordination, and evaluation of the school district’s special education programs and services.
Responsibilities:
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data to make recommendations concerning programs for students who are eligible for services
- Provide districtwide support in abbreviated day planning
- Provide direct supervision of district school age special programs (Bridge, GOALS, RISE)
- Supervise, observe and evaluate assigned staff
- Develop and implement professional development activities and programs that improve instructional practices and lead to improved outcomes for students with disabilities and their families
- Assist with the recruitment, interviewing, and training of all special education personnel
- Oversee district early childhood to school age transition process
- Facilitate extend school year (ESY) services for SWD including identifying sites, coordinating human and physical resources and transportation
Requirements:
Oregon Adminstrator License
Schedule:
135 working days
Salary:
$57,763.80- 63,158.40/annually based on the 2021-22 Salary Schedule (2-22-23 schedule currently in negotiations)
