Under minimal guidance, is responsible for supporting compliance requirements of the Corporate Regulatory Financial and Data Call processes in a deadline focused environment. Provides analysis of results and inconsistencies to Manager. Provides reporting and compliance support to a variety of audiences, both internally and to external Regulatory agencies. Research variances and identifies and works to resolve issues as they arise. Presents findings to Manager.
This a range posting. Candidates will be considered for the appropriate level depending upon experience and qualifications.
The compensation for this role is dependent on experience and geographic location of candidate.
Position is open to a remote work model, but must be able to work east coast hours.
Responsibilities:
  • Under minimal guidance supports the accurate and timely completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements of the Corporate Regulatory Financial and Data Call team, including but not limited to, Financial and Data calls for all lines of business, state compliance filings, and quarterly reporting tool balancing.
  • Under minimal guidance prepares reports efficiently and effectively. Performs complex data management to analyze and distribute requested statistical data to customers in a clear, concise format. Identifies and works to help resolve issues as they arise.
  • Documents and performs internal control procedures to ensure accurate and timely regulatory reporting.
  • Identifies, develops, and maintains efficient, cost-effective processes/controls/data management. Begins to understand how departments interact.
  • Research regulatory reporting issues and works with team members to communicate appropriately to manager.
  • Reviews and approves work from offshore team members to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Work closely with offshore team to ensure assigned data calls are completed within deadlines and to stakeholders' expectations.
  • Participate in department projects and continuous improvement activities, working closely with team members and members from outside departments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (Finance or Accounting) required and a minimum of 1 year of accounting or finance experience required - internship experience can be considered as well.
  • Must demonstrate attention to detail in a fast-paced work environment and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously to achieve results.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with teammates, collaborate to solve problems, and raise issues and concerns in a variety of settings including business meetings.
  • Expected to interact with management and other units to gather information and present results/recommendations.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Word is preferred.
