Location: CAPE FEAR VALLEY MEDICAL CENTER
Position Summary:
Assists teacher in providing the developmental and care needs of Children while helping to maintain a quality Child Care program at Cape Fear Valley Health System Child Development Center. Maintains a clean and safe environment for the children.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

1 year experience in a professional large child care setting. Knowledge of physical, intellectual, Emotional, and social characteristics of children ages birth-12 years old. Ability to communicate effectively. Knowledge of North Carolina Child Care Laws and Regulations. Able to assist Lead Teacher in planning activities that are age appropriate.

Required Education, Licenses, and Certifications:

• Diploma or Certificate Program Early Childhood Education

• High School Diploma or GED

Other Information:

Work involves a variety of activities to include walking, standing and lifting children and various objects. A teacher must be able to stand for 30 minutes at a time in the classroom and especially during outdoor activities. A teacher must have the ability to communicate effectively and interact with the children at all times and visually observe children in the classroom.
