Responsibilities

This position provides research support to the Department of Neurology, UC Davis Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center clinical trials program. The candidate will perform research recruitment and tracking, evaluate subjects, and collect data. The incumbent will collect and document clinical trials research processes according to ICH Good Clinical Practice.

Required Qualifications

Applicants are encouraged to upload license and certification if required of the position.

  • CITI Certification for Biomedical Researchers and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) within one (1) month of hire.
  • Self-starter, able to work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbally.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Dependable and able to work in multiple team environments.
  • Able to multi-task and be adaptable to changing demands.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Excellent organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience screening patients for research or clinic visits.
  • Experience working with senior populations who are normal or cognitively impaired.
  • Experience working with electronical medical record databases such as EPIC.
  • Experience tracking and managing data utilizing software applications such as Excel.
  • Experience with analysis protocols and meticulous lab analysis methods.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Special Requirements

  • Must be able to work overtime and flexible hours when required (evenings, weekends)
  • Local and out-of-state travel may be required to attend research meetings and educational and community events
  • May be required to begin shift earlier than scheduled to accommodate research needs.
  • This position may be subject to a criminal background investigation, drug screen, Live Scan fingerprinting, medical evaluation clearance, and functional capacity assessment.
