GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) is seeking a Temporary Construction Worker in Rock Springs, Wyoming. Under supervision, this position performs basic construction tasks on and for the highway system.

- Construction tasks include performing basic lab tests and survey procedures.
- Perform construction inspections.
- Prepare and check computations and data.
PREFERENCES:
This is an entry-level position that requires no prior training or experience.
KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge of materials testing.- Knowledge of surveying methods and equipment operation.
- Knowledge of construction inspection, which includes the interpretation of plans and specifications.
- Skill in the use of computers.
- Strong math skills are required.
- Ability to perform algebraic calculations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.- This position requires working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
- Individuals must be available to work at any time, including, nights, weekends, and holidays.
