JOB TITLE: Audio Visual Engineer

CLIENT: DLA J64

LOCATION: On-site, DLA New Cumberland, PA

BACKGROUND:
The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Network and Telecom Services Division (NTS) is responsible for maintaining video and audio communications across the DLA network. This contract will provide support and maintenance for existing equipment, to include installation of equipment used to replace defective parts, installation, integration of new Audio Visual
(AV) and Video Teleconference (VTC) systems, programming of existing and new equipment, replacement of end-of-life equipment, user training, Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) and Digital Signage (DS).

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Install, pull, terminate, and test all audio visual (AV) type cables, connectors, and interfaces. Ability to install projection screens, plasma TVs and different types of speakers. Installation of AV systems on client sites. Read blueprints and wire AV racks. Serves as Lead Audio Visual Engineer. Manage AV projects with various models and makes of equipment. Has a thorough understanding and working knowledge of testing, analyses and corrective action on systems, networks, hardware, and software. Know and understand
all wire and connector types on all AV related cable. Experience with Audio Visual equipment, internet based video solutions, switchers, codecs, interfaces, and room design.
Will support the Enterprise JWICS support with installation and troubleshooting system hardware. The Engineer will not be required to have a SIPR or JWICS user account.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be a US Citizen with current NACLC investigation
  • 3 years of relevant experience
  • Requires ONE of the following certifications: AMX Technical (Networked AV), Creston CTI Tech Track, or AVIXA CTS
