Duties and Responsibilities:

· Manage scheduling appointments for therapeutic departments

· Manage authorizations for therapeutic departments

· Perform testing and scoring for Behavioral Health clients for billing

· Obtain authorizations and enter into MedData HER

· Sort and prepare authorization report every 3 weeks

· Verify insurance coverage for children requested for placement

· Communicate/calculate coverage to families as spots become available

· Add Commercial Insurance patients to spreadsheet

· Maintain Deductibles, OOP, and co-pay amounts

· Add and remove Easy Pay clients as needed

· Submit Authorization appeals as needed

· Claims research as needed for families

Essential Job Functions:

· Ability to bend, stoop, reach, stand, move from one area of the building to another on a regular basis, sit and use a computer for a long period of time.

· Ability to communicate proficiently in English via email, phone, and in person

· Ability to access, accurately input, and retrieve information from a computer

· Ability to learn third party scheduling and billing system

· Ability to maintain a positive attitude when working under deadlines

· Ability to meet departmental deadlines

· Ability to work collaboratively with others

Additional responsibilities may be added at any given time in order to help maintain efficient workflow for the Center.

Experience:

· Authorizations: 2 years (preferred)

· Bachelor’s degree (required)
