Job description

Greenleaf Nursery is looking for a skilled mechanic to assist in our maintenance department. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined on a wide variety of vehicles and implements, dependable, willing to learn, and has basic automotive knowledge. Base rate begins at $23.00/hour or more based on your level of experience.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Maintenance of vehicles/equipment and other jobs related to our maintenance department

Skills Required:

• Must be dependable and have reliable transportation
• Must be willing to learn and take direction
• Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week with increased hours in busy season.
• Must be task oriented

Physical Demands:

• Walking, standing, bending, kneeling
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Frequent lifting, carrying, climbing, and repetitive hand motions
• Must be able to work in varying conditions
• Some weekend work may be required

Experience:

• Basic Engine and Mechanical Maintenance
• Basic Diagnostic Skills
• Automotive experience and small engine repair is a plus, but not required. Must be willing to learn
• Experience with automotive wiring is preferred, but not required
