Job description

Price Industries Inc. is on the search for an Automation Tech for its growing automation initiatives that will be based out of Suwanee, GA. This position will report to the Automation Lead and will be responsible for implementing automation projects used to increase safety and product capacity.

Responsibilities

§ Collaborate with the engineering and automation team to successfully implement new automation systems.

§ Collaborate with the maintenance team on creating a PM and spare part system for the automation cells.

§ Collaborate with integrators by providing feedback on the design of new automation projects.

§ Repair and maintain all automation systems to ensure they are operational and effectively functional.

§ Update pre-existing automation cells by adding new programs/sequences.

§ Research and recommend new products on the market (sensors, motor controls & drives, end effectors, etc.) that can be integrated in automation projects

§ Other duties as assigned.

§ Ability to work effectively in a multitasking environment and work constructively under pressure

§ Ability to support and implement multiple projects and meet specific goals and deadlines

§ Ability to make sound and timely decisions

§ Must be detailed and goal oriented

§ Must pass the technical exam given.

Education/Relevant Experience/ Skills

§ Minimum of 3 years’ experience in robotic programming, PLC applications, HMI design & programming, and have the ability to repair and maintain automation applications.

• Allen Bradley PLC and Automation Direct HMI knowledge preferred

§ Experience in implementing new automated equipment.
