Description: Valet

The Valet is responsible for safe transportation of dealership/customer’s vehicles and responsible for cleanliness and organization of the Service Department. This position is classified as non-exempt from applicable wage and hour laws. Following is a list of certain minimum required duties, responsibilities and qualifications associated with the position, subject to applicable law. This list is not all inclusive and may be amended or supplemented as business needs dictate.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for welcoming customers with a warm and sincere greeting
• Ensures excellent service standards and maintains high customer satisfaction
• Verify appointments by documenting the customer’s names, vehicle information including VIN, tag number, mileage and inspect vehicles for existing damage and informing the appropriate service advisor of the customer’s arrival
• Maintains the organization of vehicles on the service lot
• Responsible for being aware of dealership lot traffic flow
• Ensures cleanliness of all customer vehicles
• Ensures safe delivery of vehicles
• Responsible for parking and retrieving customer’s vehicles
• Inspects and documents vehicles for damage
• Performs daily inspection of lot for unlocked vehicles
• General housekeeping of the lot and all common areas
• Follows company safety procedures and policies

Job Qualifications:

• Individuals employed in this position must be able to stand, sit and mobilize through various dealership work areas (sometimes for extended periods)
• Individuals employed in this position must be able to enter and exit vehicles to demonstrate features and options
• Individuals employed in this position must have excellent customer service skills and interpersonal communication skills; cultural sensitivity and demonstrates ability to work with diverse people groups
• Individuals employed in this position must have a valid Driver’s license in good standing and possess acceptable safe driving record
• Individuals employed in this position must be able to drive standard/manual transmission
• Individuals employed in this position must have excellent time management skills
• Individuals employed in this position must have ability to perform housekeeping duties
• Individual employed in this position must possess a positive attitude and commitment to adhere to and administer company policies, procedures and standards
