Bakery/Deli Counter Sales

Alessi Bakeries has been serving Tampa since 1912 and we are happy to announce that we are seeking to employ for multiple positions at our retail establishment.

Essential Duties:

• Greet guests and take food and beverage orders
• Cuts, prepares, and serves a variety of hot and cold foods
• Taking customer orders, ensuring orders are completed on time and to the customer’s satisfaction.
• Correctly answer customer inquiries
• Box/Package a variety of products
• Using scale printer machine, ensuring weights and pricing are correct.
• Stock various products on shelves. Maintain a clean and sanitary work area by dusting off shelves, wiping displays/counter.
• Maintaining a positive and friendly attitude towards customers and fellow team members.
• Processing cash register transactions, giving back change, processing checks.

Education and/or Experience

• Past experience in food preparation and counter service.
• Must possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money accurately
• Basic knowledge of the functions of cash registers (POS system)
• Past experience in food preparation and counter service.

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions

• In an 8-hour work day: standing/walking 6-8 hours.
• Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling.
• Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting and reaching.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
