Tidewater Finance Company, located in Virginia Beach, VA has a full-time position available for a Bankruptcy Specialist. We provide diverse lending solutions for our dealer network while promoting employee integrity, teamwork and an uncompromising level of customer service.

The position requires the following qualifications:

• 
  Ability to work in a fast paced environment and multitask
• Highly organized, attention to detail and results oriented
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Customer service and goal oriented
• Ability to function in a team atmosphere as well as independently
• Proficient with Microsoft Office which includes Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Proficient with Pacer and EBN System
• Bankruptcy experience in the automobile industry preferred

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• 
  Employee will have access to personal identifiable information (PII) and business confidential information
• Manage and monitor new bankruptcy filings, discharges, and dismissals; updating accounts accordingly
• Review, prepare, and file Proof of Claims on new Bankruptcy Chap 13 filings
• Review, prepare, and assist with preparing supporting documents for attorney to file Motions for Relief
• File Notification of Action and assist in managing Bankruptcy 7 and Bankruptcy 13 post-petition debt accounts for monitoring purposes
• Handle Email/mail notifications received from US Courts and US Trustees
• Review, prepare, and propose reaffirmation agreements on Bankruptcy Chap 7 cases
• Review and prepare documents for requests for Garnishment Preference Funds
• Other duties as assigned

The standard hours for this position are:

Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Additional hours may be required as necessary.
