Barclays Internal Audit Early Careers AVP

As a Barclays BIA Early Careers – AVP, you will work with BIA Early Careers Lead to contribute to BIA’s vision and secure an improved and enhanced Early Careers Programme in BIA. This role is underpinned by role modelling the Barclays values in all that we do. You will provide independent, reliable, valued, insightful and timely assurance to the Board and executive management over the effectiveness of governance, risk management and control over current and evolving risks.

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. What will you be doing?
- Providing regional support for BIA Early Careers
- Collaborating with key stakeholders for the region within HR ensuring BIA attract/retain/develop Early Careers talent
- Managing regional delivery of the BIA Early Careers programme
- Supporting delivery of the BIA Early Careers learning pathway
- Supporting/monitoring of the Early Careers critical experiences
What we’re looking for:
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to work with others in BIA and with management at all levels in the organisation
- Experience in flexing and adapting your style to meet the needs of others
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team and to deliver high quality work
Skills that will help you in the role:
- Experience of working with Early Careers (Graduates, Interns and/or Apprentices)
- Experience in designing and delivering training
- Financial services industry knowledge including emerging technology, trends, and themes is beneficial but not essential
- Knowledge of the relevant regulatory environment
